Our residents’ comfort and wellbeing is our top priority. This is why we are committed to implementing the safest and most effective practices while still delivering a rich lifestyle for our residents that is full of social engagement, lifelong learning and education, and cultural enrichment.
Time and time again, we hear from residents that being in our community has made them feel safer and happier than when they lived at home. Being at our community alleviates many burdens such as home maintenance and cooking, while helping to prevent social isolation, which is detrimental to our health. So the next time a blizzard hits, our residents can just sit back and have a drink by the fireplace with friends—a worry-free lifestyle that allows them to focus on what makes them happy.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our communities grew closer together under the common goal of protecting our residents while still keeping them engaged and connected with their friends and families. We adapted by bringing in a variety of new programming and technologies that were so positively received that we are keeping many in our day-to-day lives. For example, we rolled out temi robots to connect residents with loved ones and supplemented many of our cultural and social enrichment programs as virtual events. Read more about our temi robot rollout here.

“Maplewood has been truly outstanding throughout this pandemic! They have prioritized the health and safety of their residents to the highest level and as a physician I know first-hand how much work, care and planning this takes. They must be one of the top in the country with their efforts and dedication to the well-being of their residents and the impact this has had in keeping a vulnerable population safe during this pandemic. I am so grateful to their dedicated leadership and staff and I am so thankful for all that they have done and continue to do for my mom and the other residents!”

“My Mother has been a resident at Maplewood for over 3 years. The director is very involved in all aspects of the facility from residents, to staff to general management issues. When I recently called him to ask for some help, my request was gladly fulfilled. The staff are very caring and try to make life as cheery as possible for the residents. The pandemic was handled tightly and thankfully without any big outbreak of Covid. The way a business is run starts from the top down. Maplewood does exactly that. Thank you for making my almost 100 year old mother as comfortable and happy as she can be.”

“The best move I ever made was to Maplewood. I really appreciate the care taken around the Covid pandemic. Initially, a very strict visitor policy was put in place to keep us safe. We were among the first to get the vaccine, and testing and temperature-taking continued. To sum it up, I wholeheartedly recommend Maplewood to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable, friendly, busy, vibrant, caring independent/assisted living community in which to live.”
