PRESENTER: Dr. Kristen Betts, Drexel University, School of Education
With the holidays approaching, it is important to focus on brain health. This 1-week workshop explores the connection between the holidays and the myriad of emotions that come with this time of year, including feelings of joy, stress, and sadness. Research reveals that the brain continues to change over our lifetimes through learning and our experiences. During this workshop we will discuss ways you can support your brain health through metacognition and mindfulness. You are invited to learn about the brain-mind-health connection so you can optimize the holidays. Our holiday gift to you includes strategies you can use throughout and beyond the holiday season to support neuroplasticity and mindfulness to increase being present, reduce stress, and create new memories going into the new year.
